About This Model

The MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 Pro / M4 Max (2024) was announced on 30 October 2024 and went on sale on 8 November 2024, with UK prices starting at £1,999 for the M4 Pro model. It was replaced by the 14-inch M5 Pro / M5 Max model in March 2026.

The M4 Pro is more than enough for most professional work, including photo editing, music production, software development and 4K video editing. It starts with 24GB of memory.

The M4 Max adds far more graphics cores, starts with 36GB of memory and supports up to 128GB. That matters for heavy 3D work, high-resolution video, complex effects and large AI models.
